You don’t have to be a love child…

Save the earth type concerts were once associated with the love child events where you wear flowers in your hair with your hemp shirt and birkinstocks, pass around recycled paper pamphlets about how to save mother earth, and share vegan sandwhiches. Okay, so I’m stereotyping just a little bit.

Over the past several years however, the Green advocates in our world have appeared in the form of celebritites and politicians. And they are not simply telling us to do more to save the earth, but are acting on it themselves. Their push to spread awareness and promote change is admirable. Some people just won’t listen though.

That’s why I’m so excited for Live Earth and it’s “music to spur a movement”. Basically tomorrow Live Earth will bring together more than 2 billion people across the planet through concerts that will play 24 hours of music across all seven continents (yes, even Antarctica) to raise awareness about global warming. Over 150 top musical artists are participating in the various major cities around the world including London and New York City.

If you can’t get to a concert, check out the website and pledge that you’ll make a change today. Just a couple clicks of the mouse and you’re helping the cause.
